Synopsis | Aunt May has lapsed into a coma and Peter, back in his black Spider-Man costume, performs a methodical and ruthless search for the sniper who shot her; He tracks down Jake Martino to the train station and beats him close to death trying to find who hired him; Before he can get any answers, however, Jake is shot by an unknown assailant; Spidey rides Jake's ambulance to the very hospital where Aunt May is being treated and gets the bad news from MJ that she is probably not going to survive; Peter senses a spider tracer close by and finds the man who shot Jake in front of the hospital talking on a cell phone; He takes the phone away and finds the real villain on the other end of the line--the Kingpin. |
