Synopsis Professor J. Milton has invented a device that can be used to contact ghosts, specifically Napoleon Bonaparte. Milton, Mr. Freedman (a reporter), and the gang hold hands around the device and Napoleon materializes. Napoleon is disoriented, and inadvertently knocks Milton's invention to the floor, destroying it. To prove his identity, Napoleon suggests comparing his signature to an authentic autograph from the 19th century belonging to Hamilton Warner. The signatures are exactly alike, but Fred still has his doubts. After dinner, Napoleon and Scooby go for a walk, and Napoleon enlists several hobos to join his new army. Scooby tries to run, but is captured by one of the hobos. The gang catch up with Napoleon at Warner's house, freeing Scooby and capturing the fake Napoleon, who was able to duplicate the genuine autograph by means of an autopen.
