Characters Dr. Krill Stomer, Captain Jubal Early, scientists, mercenaries, salamanders, Senator Kenneally.
Synopsis Continuing... The ship Polyphemus is under attack by giant sea-ickies. Krill Stromer dives, assumes fish abilities, and summons whales to eat the monsters. Captain Jubal Early covers up, but reports to Senator Kenneally, ancient enemy of Krill's family. They flee in a plane. Off the coast of New Brunswick, Krill steals a parachute and bails out, but Early follows. (He's "fallen" for the sea-angel.) In a lab inside an old cannery, Krill meets friends - as copters drop black-clad soldiers sent by Krill's mother. She rejects the "SubHuman" curse/blessing. Man-like "salamanders" burst in. In the battle, Krill is kidnapped. The Senator orders the cannery blown up. He receives a last injection to become the "Urschlime", and scientists report the new UXB-023 bathysphere is ready. The senator can "usher in Earth's new Golden Age!"... Continued...
