Continuing... Dreaming, Krill hears the voice of her great-grandmother, and their origin. During the Renaissance, a female scientist built a diving bell. At the bottom, she was attacked by The Other, a remnant of anti-life from Earth's primordial days. She resisted but was infected. A priestess taught her to become an "Ange de Mer", a sea-angel, a warrior, a "perfect genetic weapon", a SubHuman separate from humanity. Krill carries the curse/blessing in her DNA... She awakes a prisoner of Senator Kenneally, who wants her secrets. She bites him and is tossed in the Reject Tank with a giant crab. She assumes fish abilities and fights it... Captain Early and Krill's scientist friends hook up with Nishakowa industries, an old business partner. They get the Nayad, an ancient/advanced submarine. Hotshot techs and SEALs raid Senator Kenneally's HQ. Bullets fly. The giant tank is shattered. Krill almost kills Kenneally, but he escapes. She picks up a gun and vows to "finish the Ange de Mer's long battle. Who's with me?"... Continued... |
