Synopsis Namor, disgusted by the human race, attacks a group of eskimos and throws their god, an image frozen in ice, into the sea; When the ice melts, the figure trapped within turns out to be Captain America who has been in suspended animation since the end of World War II; The Avengers rescue Cap but as they return him to New York, a mysterious figure turns our heroes to stone; Cap meets Rick Jones, the Hulk's buddy and a dead ringer for his old partner Bucky Barnes, and they enlist the help of the Teen Brigade in trying to find the man responsible for the Avengers' plight; When they do track him down, the man actually turns out to be an alien and he agrees to restore the Avengers to humanity if they agree to help him recover his broken space ship in return; The Avengers pull the ship from the ocean floor but are immediately attacked by Namor and his people; Cap and the Avengers battle the Atlanteans but it is the restored spaceship blasting off that ultimately drives off Namor and his men; Cap joins the team.
