Synopsis |
Lois continues to tell reporter Tim Crane of the final days of Superman. Holed up in the Fortress of Solitude with his closest friends, Superman was attacked by Brainiac (having taken over Luthor's body), the Kryptonite Man, and the Legion of Super-Villains. While Superman tried to figure out what to do, Jimmy and Lana headed out to take on the villains and manage to mortally wound Luthor's body. The Kryptonite Man broke through into the Fortress, but Krypto defended his master. Superman sent the LSV back to the future as Brainiac and Luthor collapsed in the snow. Realizing who was missing, Superman called on Mr. Mxyzptlk to show himself. Lois figured out the meaning of the statuette the Legion had given Superman earlier, and Superman tried to send Mxyzptlk into the Phantom Zone just as he tried to flee to his own dimension, tearing himself apart. Having taken a life, Superman exposed himself to gold kryptonite to permanently remove his super-powers. The interview over, Lois and her husband Jordy settle in for an evening alone with their infant son Jonathan...as the tot squeezes a lump of coal into a diamond. |
