7 page Blackhawk story "The Weapons That Backfired"

Synopsis Once a year, in conjunction with the "Inventor's Club," the Blackhawks test out new inventions that may lend themselves to industrial use, such as the Flying Buzz-Saw, or the Mechanical Caterpillar, or the Radio Man, a giant robot. Hearing reports of strange goings on, a group of reporters discover the testing. Shortly after, the machines are stolen by Baron Kram and his henchmen, who proceed to test the machines in their own way.

When they're shipwrecked on a deserted island, they find that eating the fruit grown there causes them to grow into giants, which the Blackhawks discover when they follow them there.
