Characters Challengers of the Unknown [Ace Morgan; Rocky Davis; Prof Haley; Red Ryan]; Tino Manarry; Legion of the Weird [Mistress Vera Wycker; Count Karnak; Madoga; Hordred; Kaftu]; Tukamenon; Om
Synopsis Continued from COTU 63... Tino is kidnapped and Red wounded. The Challs fly to find Tino. (From an eye transplant, Red can "see" what Tino sees. Count Karnak mystically connected their vision to trap the Challs. Meanwhile, the unseen Om, "Master of the Netherworlds" watches the Legion.) The Gallopin' Gizmo is struck by magical lightning and pancakes near a castle. Red, sporting an eyepatch, is shaky but game. The Challs are buffeted by magic wind. The mummy Tukamenon reluctantly battles them. Prof zaps Tuk with an X-ray gun and the Challs feign death. Tukamenon, freed of his servitude, rushes to kill Kaftu, and the Legion's magicks can't stop him. Into this mix run three Challs claiming the mummy killed Prof! Up pops a hooded figure, Maddok, claiming to be a messenger of Om! The Challs unchain Tino. "Maddok" throws a flash bomb and is exposed as Prof. The mummy crushes Kaftu, but loses his own spirit and dies. The Challs rush the Legion, who beg Om to save them. Om whisks them and the entire castle away! "A classic case of evil destroying itself." Tino and Red's sight is no longer linked, and all's well.
