Jughead gives his money to Archie but when Archie goes to meet Betty, she surprises him by having a dinner made already so he invites Jughead in to join in the dinner.

The girls try to get Jughead to love the dog and nothing works until it turns out Big Ethel is allergic to dog hairs.
