Notes | Gladstone editorial pages had previously stated this story would be unlikely to see print as Disney felt it inappropriate. Don Rosa has said online that someone at Disney objected to the depiction of the Peeweegah Indians as racist. Rosa had followed Carl Barks' lead in portraying them all looking alike. Having decided he was no longer going to publish comics with Disney characters Bruce Hamilton presumably ignored the ban to present an English language version of a story by a popular creator. |
