Synopsis | The Goddess brings rapture to the universe by destroying all life within it; This has all been an illusion by Warlock, however, and he battles alongside Thanos and Professor X to stop the Goddess; Realizing that the Goddess planned on bringing death to the cosmos in the name of peace, the heroes who followed her desert her cause; Warlock traps the Goddess in the Soul Gem as a ghost along with the Magus; Thanos destroys the Cosmic Egg and the Cubes that made it up; Earth's heroes return to their regular lives of turmoil and violence; The Infinity Watch are mistrusted and ostracized from their fellow heroes and return to Monster Isle; As promised, Thanos gives the last Cosmic Cube to Mephisto. |
