Synopsis | Luthor gives a history of the Sunstone battle cruiser, that it is Kryptonian and was used by Dru-Zod to conquer other planets. Luthor now wants to use it to destroy Metropolis. But Superman says Metropolis is under his protection. The battle begins, with Superman trying to distract Luthor while other heroes arrive. Luthor realizes this, and shields the city from attacks from the outside. Superman burns out the control center that directs the remote robot crystals. Luthor engages the Kryptonite weapons, and Superman falls. Jimmy rushes over to shield Superman briefly, getting burned in the process. Superman has one desperate rip through the ship, grabbing Luthor and the Sunstone. That disables the ship, but drains Superman's powers, and they start to fall over the bay. |
