Synopsis | Vicki Vale lies dying in the hospital. Batman and Dick Grayson arrive at the Batcave. Alfred calls Batman, and informs him of Vicki's status. Batman tells Alfred to arrange with Clark Kent to have Superman retrieve Dr. Ekhart from Paris to operate. Superman runs across the ocean and retrieves the doctor. Dick asks for some clothes, causing Batman to flash back to his parents' murders. Batman then leaves Dick alone in the cave to fend for himself for sleep and food while Batman goes to work. Dick later wakes up, and finds a bacon cheeseburger and fries, courtesy of Alfred. Batman confronts Alfred about it, but Alfred tells him he is not Batman's slave. |
