Notes Mxyztplk is pronounced "Mix-yizt-pulk" according to Alvin Schwartz. Name was changed to Mxyzptlk in 1958. Writer credit claimed by Jerry Siegel in a letter to Richard Morrissey that states this story was written prior to earlier printed newspaper sequence by Whitney Ellsworth and Wayne Boring. "I thought I was the only one who could fly!"
