Synopsis Bert and Fran have been perceived as a couple for years but in high school Fran craves a kind of excitement Bert apparently cannot provide. She dates bad boy Jerry Hopper. When he involves her in a stolen car incident, she returns to Bert who promises to do his best to provide her with the romantic excitement and attention she needs.

Synopsis Pam's father is an engineer and is transferred frequently around the country. The family lives in a trailer and Pam enters one high school after another. The kids call her trailer trash. At a new school, Adam takes an interest in her but she lies to him about her background, fearing he may drop her if the truth is known. She says she's wealthy Mrs. Easton's grandaughter. He knows she is not because he is Mrs. Easton's grandson. He dates her, falls in love, and proposes. They plan marriage after graduation and his service in the armed forces.
