While the existence of this issue has been confirmed, no details are known for certain, including the year or whether the contents are original or (like the other 1946 issue of this title) rebound contents of the 1944 issue of this series (which has an identical cover except for a table of contents box covering up the rabbit) or of other giant-size issue(s). It is not clear whether this or the other 1946 issue (in either of its two forms) was published first.
This may be the 1946 issue that Overstreet considers the "non-Ribtickler" 1946 issue, but since the other cover exists in two versions, only one of which is a rebound Ribtickler, that is not entirely clear.
A seller of this issue claimed that it was Canadian in some way, but this has never been confirmed so the issue is grouped into this series for now.
It is suspected that this is a non-numbered issue, but there is the possibility that it may be numbered #1 in the indicia, depending on how much the inside front cover matches the recycled outside cover. |
