Synopsis A brief overview of three origins of Superman (Earth 2, Man of Steel, and Birthright). But then Superman of Earth 2 starts imagining what it would be like to be in charge of Superman's life, altering events so that the ending is different, more forceful, and less compassionate. In Man of Steel's Superman's first appearance rescuing the space plane, he now announces his name is Superman. The first meeting with Batman results in the formation of a team. They confront Luthor after Lana Lang's kidnapping, and tell him about his cancer from his kryptonite ring. As Luthor later lies dying, Superman offers him a chance to live if he would direct his intellect to curing the world's ills; Luthor agrees. Clark reveals his secret to Lois, followed by Superman on Earth 2 proposing directly to Lois just after the events in Superman #226. Then comes the fight against Doomsday, but this time, Superman wins and stays alive. Then the aftermath of the capture of Dr. Light after he has abused Sue Dibny (Identity Crisis), but instead of a mind wipe, Superman projects Dr. Light into the Phantom Zone. Finally, in modern times, several of the JLA confront Superman at the Watchtower, saying he has gone too far. Superman disbands the JLA, but before Zatanna can restrain him, the Justice League Elite appears (with Batman, Guy Gardner, and Hawkman), and stops them. Jimmy Olsen suddenly is affected by Infinite Crisis, and some of his past incarnations are shown (bow-tie Jimmy, Elastic Lad, and Bizarro-Jimmy).
