Now, he sits in a nameless airport bar telling his life story to a bunch of people who really couldn't care less... these are the stories about Chester's reality, and the people - a washed-up celebrity, a foul-mouthed four-eyed demon monkey, a pair of zombie cops, cannibal farmers, religious zealots, an assassin with a heart of gold and an airline baggage handler - who have to live in it. 1st printing. Story and art by by Jason. An anthology of masterful shorts from the creator of "I Killed Adolf Hitler." This multifaceted anthology collects Jason's early 1990's work, including his remarkable calling card, the novella-length thriller "Pocket Full of Rain," which has never before been published in English. Like a number of his initial stories, "Pocket" is drawn with realistic human beings instead of blank-faced animal characters, a true revelation for Jason's fans. This book showcases three distinct styles - his earliest "realistic" drawing style, used to unsettling effect in some particularly creepy stories; an intermediate "bighead" cartoony style that still features humans, used for both humor and drama; and the "funny-animal" style he's now best known for. All this, plus much more, including a color gallery and God cheating at Trivial Pursuit. Softcover, 144 pages, PC/PB&W. Cover price $19.99.

1st printing. Based on the writings of Edgar Allan Poe. Adapted by Gareth Hinds. In a thrilling adaptation of Edgar Allan Poe's best-known works, acclaimed artist-adapter Gareth Hinds translates Poe's dark genius into graphic-novel format. It is true that I am nervous. But why will you say that I am mad? In "The Cask of Amontillado," a man exacts revenge on a disloyal friend at carnival, luring him into catacombs below the city. In "The Masque of the Red Death," a prince shielding himself from plague hosts a doomed party inside his abbey stronghold. A prisoner of the Spanish Inquisition, faced with a swinging blade and swarming rats, can't see his tormentors in "The Pit and the Pendulum," and in "The Tell-Tale Heart," a milky eye and a deafening heartbeat reveal the effects of conscience and creeping madness. Alongside these tales are visual interpretations of three poems - "The Raven," "The Bells," and Poe's poignant elegy to lost love, "Annabel Lee." The seven concise graphic narratives, keyed to thematic icons, amplify and honor the timeless legacy of a master of gothic horror. Softcover, 120 pages, full color. Cover price $14.00.

Story and art by Richard Sala.
Just a couple of months before his tragic passing in March 2020, cartooning master of the macabre Richard Sala completed his final book - or, actually, his final four books. Poison Flowers & Pandemonium collects all four of these original graphic novellas in one beautifulhardcover worthy of Sala's legacy.
First up in Poison Flowers is "House of the Blue Dwarf," a 125-page thriller featuring master criminal the Bloody Cardinal, who leaves a wake of mayhem and madness everywhere he goes. "Monsters Illustrated" is a fun, 64-page monster movie riff that showcases Sala's visual imagination. A young woman in a dusty bookstore reads a strange bestiary - the "book within a book" showcases a series of Sala's gorgeous watercolor and ink drawings. But when she gets to the end, she finds the bookseller drives a hard bargain.
"Cave Girls Of The Lost World" is a campy, 60-page romp about a team of young women whose plane crashes in a land forgotten by time and rife with dinosaurs, carnivorous plants, and apemen - but these intelligent, brave, and resourceful women are ready to rumble! Rounding out the book is "The Amazing Adventures of Fantomina Fantomella," a 45-page graphic novella of violence and non-stop action. Priest and his mob thought Fantomina was dead. So how is it that she's come backwith a vengeance?
Poison Flowers & Pandemonium is a perfect showcase of Sala's gorgeous watercolor artwork and his love of B movie horror, silent film-era archetypes, and femmes fatale.

Volume 1 - 1st printing. "1951-Winter 1952!" Collects Ghost Comics (1951-1954 Fiction House) #1-5. This often unfairly forgotten series, surely boasted some of the most magnificent covers of any of the EC wannabes, despite the artists being a anything but "household names." One of these forgotten masters is Maurice Whitman, plus you get EC's very own Jack Kamen regularly popping up. This was material that suggested unpleasantness rather than just stepped forward and pulled the old schlock-it-up-lever. Softcover, 184 pages, full color. Cover price $32.99.
