    Stories and art by Boody Rogers, Ham Fisher, Gardner Fox, Ogden Whitney, Kermit Jadiker and Charles Zerner (credited as Paine), Elmer Wexler, Frank Tinsley, Alfred Andriola, J. P. McEvoy, John Striebel, Frank Beck and Mart Bailey. Big Shot featured reprints of McNaught Syndicate humor and adventure strips, alongside original characters like Skyman and The Face. Sparky Watts goes overseas to fight in World War II. In the original comic strip, Sparky died at this point when his creator Boody Rogers enlisted in World War II; in this reprint, Sparky survives to be drawn by other artists until Rogers' return. Koenig the Nazi spy uses a substitute bullet to throw off suspicions, but Vic Jordan notices strange yellow clay on his shoes that doesn't match his story. Bo the dog's family prepares him for his appearance in the Pet Show.
