The Mayor tells the fire department to let a fire burn, since it's a billboard for his opponent in the upcoming election. Smokey's son Earl makes a "Keep Off" sign for the wet cement sidewalks. Smokey sends Earl to the paint store to get some paint. Smokey thinks there's a strange man in his bathtub. Smokey bought a winter overcoat last spring at a cheap price, but the moths got to it. Smokey visits Fenwick Flooky's firehouse. An auto mechanic hides woodpeckers under the hood so drivers will think their engines are knocking. Smokey warns a neighbor to shovel his walk because a cop is writing tickets. Scripts and art by Bill Holman.
