"Match Makers!", art by Ken Riley; Paulas parents are immigrants from Europe and raise her in a strict, old-fashioned manner; When her parents insist she get married before she turns 20 and that they will pick her husband, she rebels; Even though the man theyve chosen is Arthur, whom she loves, Paula refuses on principle. "Clinging Vine," art by Bill Draut; Mary Lou pretends to be a "helpless, wide-eyed, clinging vine" type to attract dates; She becomes engaged to Stan, but he is soon irritated by her feigned helplessness; Mary Lou thinks newcomer Wilma has stolen Stans affection, but Wilma says Stan merely got tired of Mary Lous act: "Men like women to be feminine, but they dont like them to be dopes!" 52 pgs., full color.
