Collects Blondie Comics (1947 McKay/Harvey/King/Charlton) #87, Casper the Friendly Ghost (1952 2nd Series Harvey) #41, Dagwood Comics (1950) #62, Dick Tracy Monthly (1948-1961) #96, Joe Palooka (1945 Harvey) #93, Little Audrey (1952 Harvey) #46, Little Lotta (1955 1st Series) #3, Little Max (1949) #39, and Sad Sack (1949) #55. These volumes are some of the earliest examples of Collected Comics. Companies, like Harvey, would archive their material by taking all the issues they released that month and having them bound into hardcover book format. The issues come complete with front and back covers and interiors. They were trimmed down perfectly to fit the hardcover format. Each year has twelve volumes, one for each month of the year. A would-be space explorer and his brother learn one of the harsh realities of life in space, with art by Bernie Krigstein. A post-apocalyptic tale with art by Wally Wood, his last science fiction story for EC. And the final story is the Judgment Day, a robot parable about prejudice. Censorship struggles over this famous story proved the last straw for Bill Gaines' relationship with the Comics Code, and EC's comics publishing altogether.
