The Searchers, pencils by Mike Roy, inks by Mike Peppe; Three years after the Civil War, Confederate soldier Ethan Edwards' homecoming at his brother's Texas ranch is ruined by a Comanche raid; His brother and his wife and son are killed and his young nieces are kidnapped by the Comanches; Edwards and Marty, a young man his brother raised, go on a multi-year search to find them. This adaptation of the 1956 movie "The Searchers" is fairly faithful to the movie, though an early movie reference to Edwards possessing money from a railway robbery is omitted, as is the classic closing scene. 36 pages, full color. Cover price $0.10.

Collects Blondie Comics (1947 McKay/Harvey/King/Charlton) #91, Casper the Friendly Ghost (1952 2nd Series Harvey) #45, Dagwood Comics (1950) #66, Dick Tracy Monthly (1948-1961) #100, Joe Palooka (1945 Harvey) #95, Little Audrey (1952 Harvey) #48, Little Max (1949) #41, Mutt and Jeff (1939-65 All Am./National/Dell/Harvey) #87, and Sad Sack (1949) #59. These volumes are some of the earliest examples of Collected Comics. Companies, like Harvey, would archive their material by taking all the issues they released that month and having them bound into hardcover book format. The issues come complete with front and back covers and interiors. They were trimmed down perfectly to fit the hardcover format. Each year has twelve volumes, one for each month of the year. These are extremely rare items. Hardcover (No Dust Jacket), 180 pages, full color.
