When Anne and Betty discover they are both seeing the same person, they decide to show up together at Eric's apartment to see the look on his face. The joke is on them when Jane opens the door, introducing herself as Eric's fiancee in "The Pretenders"! Also: Carole invites her cousin, Jean, to the city to visit for a few weeks. Jean remembers Carole's penchant for stealing boyfriends, but Jean doesn't expect that to be a problem since she doesn't currently have a boyfriend. That starts to change when she meets a policeman who helps her when she gets lost on the way to Carole's house in the retitled? reprint story "Stolen Love"! And: As a teenager, Donna hangs out with wild Jackie 'The Rebel' and starts to get a bad reputation in town. She eventually stops seeing Jackie, but her reputation follows her. Many boys seem to be interested at first, but drop her soon after. After years of this, Donna and her mother wonder what keeps the old reputation alive. Donna finds out when she catches her best friend Cynthia telling her latest boyfriend about her past. But Dave realizes Cynthia is sabotaging Donna out of jealousy and tells Donna what matters is that she stopped seeing Jackie in the retitled reprint story "A Friend In Need!" Plus: Gale doesn't want to get involved with another man after she breaks up with Tad, but Bob is persistent. Gale clings to the love letters that Tad had sent to her while he was in the army, but the letters had actually been written for Tad by Bob while they were serving overseas together in the retitled? reprint story "With All My Heart"!
