Featuring material originally presented in New Gods (1971 1st Series) #11 and new material - Featuring "Darkseid and Sons!" and "Even Gods Must Die!" (original material) Written by Jack Kirby. Art by Jack Kirby, Mike Royer and D. Bruce Berry. Wraparound Cover by Jack Kirby and D. Bruce Berry. Don't miss the never-before-seen, all-new conclusion to Jack Kirby's immortal saga of the New Gods! Twelve years ago, Jack Kirby first created NEW GODS and their opposing worlds: "the demon's pit," Apokolips, ruled by Darkseid, embodiment of all evil; and New Genesis, a lush utopia ruled by High-Father, and defended by Lightray and Orion. But in November of 1972, NEW GODS ended, one issue shy of completion. The battles that raged as Darkseid and Orion clashed were never finally resolved. For over a decade, DC fans have waited for Jack Kirby to take pen in hand and quell the fury of the New Gods, for the ultimate battle to take place. Now, in #6, the last issue of the reprinted series, Jack Kirby does just that! Orion has dispatched Lightray on a mission. Darkseid waits in silence. Kalibak and Orion are locked in definitive battle. Will Kalibak live to aid Darkseid in his conquest of the Earth? Or will Orion live? Will he live to finally confront the ominous Darkseid face-to-face? 72 pages, full color. (NOTE: Story continues in Hunger Dogs GN (1985 DC) By Jack Kirby #1.) Cover price $2.00.

Volume 156 - 1st printing. "The Royal Marines 195684!" Written by Will Fowler. Art by Paul Hannon. As a 'Special Forces' organization the Royal Marines and their supporting Commando-trained arms are unique. While other special forces trace their origins to World War I, the Royal Marines date back to 1664. Since then, they have seen action across the world, from their memorable role in the capture of Gibralter in 1704 to their crucial involvement in World Wars I and II. This book examines the Royal Marines' service and training from the Suez Crisis of 1956, through to their involvement in Northern Ireland and the Falklands in the 1980s. Numerous illustrations, including photographs and colour plates, detail the uniforms and equipment of the Marines. Softcover, PC/PB&W.
