J. Jonah Jameson assigns photographer Peter Parker (a.k.a. the Amazing Spider-Man) to tag along on the Savage Land expedition and bring back a juicy story for the Daily Bugle. Things go sour fast and our heroes are soon captured by the Savage Land Mutates. Brainchild devolves Angel and Spider-Man into hideous monsters and sends them out to battle Ka-Zar and the Fall People.

    Luckily, the Uncanny X-Men arrive in the Savage Land. They also engage in battle with the Mutates, with similar results. Now, with the rest of the X-Men captured and at the mercy of the sinister Sauron, it is up to Angel and Ka-Zar to mount a rescue.
