Our First Ad

Buddy Saunders and Lone Star Comics have been selling comics since 1961. Here's a copy of one of Buddy's earliest print ads (circa 1962) from The Rocket's Blast #21, one of the earliest and certainly the longest running of the comic book fanzines. Along with money earned from a paper route, Buddy used these early ads* as a means of earning income to cover the cost of his ever-growing comic book collection.
