A dramatic page as Sonja and her half sister Annisia are forced into gladiatorial combat by King Bazrat while also revealing that the plague Annisia fought by burning villages was not a disease, but a poison released by Bazrat. Beautiful tight pencils from Geovanni here, especially in the armor detail in the fifth panel. Standard and blue line pencil and ink on art board. Board measures 11 1/4" x 17", art area measures 8" x 13 1/4".
