Commemorative 1988 calendar published by his hometown printer as a tribute to Chester Gould (1900-1985). He lived in Woodstock, IL most of his life. Reprints the first two weeks of the strip from 1931, art from a 1944 Life article on Dick Tracy, Gould's art for the campaign to promote Woodstock with the All America Cities Award, other charity artwork by Gould and art done for Gould's pets veterinarian over the years. A wonderful, rare item for the Dick Tracy/Chester Gould fan. Calendar opens to 11-in. x 17-in. Profusely illustrated. 28 pages, black and white.

Each month features a pin-up girl dressed as an animal (e.g. raccoon, panther, quail, etc.). MacPherson drew one main image and then would fill the area with other sketches, anywhere from one to three. A quality production all around.
