In dramatic fashion the Vision has arrived in 17th century Salem to rescue his wife and the web-slinger! Surely Spider-Man and two avengers can beat Cotton Mather and the townspeople...right? But there are paranormal forces at work that guide Mather to victory and send Wanda, the wall-crawler, and the synthezoid avenger to the Salem jail! Once there, the trio meets John Proctor, a local resident who has been accused of being a witch. After escaping from the prison, Spider-Man and the Vision search for Doctor Doom's time machine in the forest close by. They don't find the time machine...but they do find Cotton Mather, the Dark Rider, and the Latverian monarch himself! Cameo appearance by Doctor Doom.
