Please Hurry and Get Well was an advertising item to be given away free at hospitals in the late 1950s. Using coverless comics, Packman Associates would sell local pharmacies the bottom two inches of the cover to list their address and phone number. The comics covers had already been returned to the distributor for credit so they didn't cost anything. Giving them away free allowed Packman to repurpose these coverless comics legally for a good cause and make money at the same time. Because of the nature of the comics used, each one is an individual item and is so noted in the issue number. This copy uses Detective #265 from March 1959. The oversize wrapper is printed in red, blue and black and includes a game on the back cover and dot-to-dot games on the inside front and back covers. At least two versions of the nurse rabbit attending to the patient rabbit are known to exist. The coverless comic is side-stapled to the cover wrapper. 7 1/4-in. x 10 1/4-in., 32 pages, full color.
