Picture World Encyclopedia (1959) was a 12 volume series produced with the intent of offering a children's encyclopedia with text that has been succinctly and carefully written in a way to not only inform but to entertain as well. Each volume makes use of the picture story techniques that have proven successful in training and teaching young minds. Volume 1 includes A-B and covers everything from Aardvark to Byzantine Empire. Also included is a 12 step ladder activity for the children to test what they've learned. Square-bound softcover.
