Story, art, and cover by Dave Sim. An initial print run of just 2,000 copies for this first issue kicks off what would eventually become Dave Sim's magnum opus clocking in at over 6,000 pages over 300 issues. Initially a parody of sword and sorcery comics, the series grew with its creator becoming an avenue to explore religion, gender, race, and more. NOTE: Counterfeit editions exist and can be identified by cover stock that is glossy on both the exterior and interior and slightly washed out inks. Cover price $1.00.
