She gets a reply from Les, who invites her to travel to Texas to meet him. While on the train, Cindy opens (too late) his last letter, which tells her not to come. Stranded in town until the next day, she agrees to stay with sheriff Bill and his sister Mary. She is shocked to see Les on their ranch. Les is Bill's brother and wrote to Cindy as a joke. However, Bill and Cindy fall in love and she decides to stay. Plus: "I Had a Second Chance!" - Mary is unhappily married to the ill-tempered drunk Henry. Her only solace is listening to Rod's nighttime radio program. On her wedding anniversary, Mary asks Rod to broadcast a dedication, but the jealous Henry attacks the disc jockey. Henry is killed fleeing from the police. Rod courts widow Mary and promises to make her happy.
