Cover by Don Heck. Stories by unknown. Art by Don Heck, Ken Landau, Marty Elkin, Herb Familton and unknown. "Substitute Bride" with art by Don Heck - Nancy moves to the city to study dance. She marries her teacher, Michael. They go to work on a roadshow tour. Nancy becomes jealous of Michael's relationship with star Karen, but when Karen leaves the show to get married, Nancy plays the leading part and is a success. Michael apologizes for neglecting her. Plus: "Man Crazy" with art by Ken Landau - The "flirtatious and party seeking" Joan has many boyfriends and wants to find a rich husband, while her "pretty but homey" sister Connie is happy with Andy. Joan rejects the lecherous Marty and decides to steal Andy from her sister. Insanely jealous Marty catches Andy and Joan on a date and tries to kill them, but dies himself in an automobile accident. To reunite Connie and Andy, Joan pretends he was nothing but a passing fling to her. She hopes to find real love herself, some day. Also: "Mama's Girl" with art by Marty Elkin - Carol feels suffocated by her widowed mother, who manages the personnel department of the store where they both work, and encourages Carol to date only men who have bright futures. Carol falls in love with store employee Mike Harrison but her mother disapproves and has Mike fired. Carol decides to marry him and move to the new town where Mike now works, over the objections of her mother (who has now lost her own job due to her domineering ways). And: "Meant for Marriage" with pencils by Herb Familton - Susan refuses to marry Ted before his overseas military deployment, fearing he'll be killed. They break up. Vivian, a lady on a nearby park bench, tells Susan the story of her long-ago romance with Jim. She wanted to wait to marry until Jim finished law school and became successful. Vivian turns down other suitors, but Jim never comes back and one day she learns he married someone else. A lifelong spinster now, Vivian urges Susan to marry Ted right away and the young couple is happily reunited. After they're gone, Vivian greets her long-time husband, Jim. She lied! Plus: 2-page text story "Left Hand for Love" by Charles F.X. Houts, reprinted from #9. 32 pages, full color. Cover price $0.10.
