Big Shot featured reprints of McNaught Syndicate humor and adventure strips, alongside original characters like Skyman and The Face. In an effort to win back Hedy, Sparky lets Doc Static bombard him with a new experimental ray that gives him a more magnetic personality. Dixie and the Dugans are taken hostage by a fugitive couple, who turn out to be a pair of kids who want to elope and are hiding from their parents. Escaping Axis forces in the South Pacific, The Face awakens in a US Army hospital, where a nurse has removed his mask.
