Cover by Gladys Parker. Stories and art by Gladys Parker and others. One of the first female-centric comic strips, by pioneering female artist Gladys Parker, Mopsy combines an Ever Meulen art style with pantomime-style gags and good-girl art. After her date eats all the chocolates he brings over, Mopsy finds a new use for the box at the beach. Mopsy gets a job as an organ grinder, and lets the monkey handle the business end of things. Private Thistlewait proves he can be first in line at the mess hall, inspiring the Sarge to make him a "runner" to the troops on Ridge 39. Mopsy; Private Thistlewait. 36 pages, Full Color. Cover price $0.10.
