The Shadow was arguably the most popular superhero of the pulps and the radio dramas only strengthened his position. Airing from 1937 to 1954, the signature line "Who Knows What Evil Lurks in the Hearts of Men?" is known to all of a certain age. This Biograph record features two broadcasts from 1947. "The House that Death Built" has Lamont and Margo stranded in a deserted house with four people searching for a fortune, but find only death and a living ghost. "The Carnival of Death" finds the Shadow investigating an elderly keeper of a wax museum where many grisly murders have taken place. 12.25" x 12.25" color sleeve, black vinyl 33 1/3 record album.

Superman Golden Records Boxed Club Set (1966, GST 10, Golden Records) 33 RPM record and comic set (12.25-in. x 12.25-in.). Set includes a special 16-page standard-sized full color comic book printed on high quality white paper stock with glossy cover. The comic book contains reprints Superman #125 ("The True History of Superbaby, Superboy and Superman!"), and #146 ("Superman's Mystery Powers!"). The comic also features two pages of "Superman History" questions and answers. Also included in this set are an oval 1.75-in. x 2.5-in. iron-on decal and a "Supermen of America" membership card (copyrighted 1966), to which is affixed a Supermen of America pin-back button, approximately 1-in. in diameter. Both decal and button feature Superman and the Superman logo. The complete record, comic, pin, card and oval decal set in the original illustrated box is a difficult to find collectible in even low grade because in almost all cases various elements of the set are missing.

The world's most famous superhero made his comic book debut in June 1938. A few months later, a series of syndicated radio broadcasts began featuring Superman, "strange visitor from another planet who came to Earth with powers and abilities far beyond those of mortal men; Superman, who can change the course of mighty rivers, bend steel in his bare hands and who, disguised as Clark Kent, mild-mannered reporter for a great metropolitan newspaper, fights a never-ending battle for truth, justice and the American way." The show was heard over the Mutual Network beginning February 12, 1940. Bud Collyer played the Man of Steel in the three times a week series. This record features all four episodes of "The Strange Case of Dr. Walter Roebling and the Voice Machine". 12.25" x 12.25" LP record, color cover.
