When Bob mysteriously sends her a rose and a theatre ticket, Ann falls in love with him. However, she learns he is the son of a friend of her mother's and the date was a set-up. Ann visits her cousin Joan, hoping Bob will track her down. When he doesn't show up, Ann swallows her pride and goes to him. They get engaged.
