This fanzine, edited by Mark Wheatley, is more about super-heroes and comics in general than pure fantasy as the title would suggest, but it is also where Dave Cockrum was a staff member before making it to the big time. In this special yearbook edition, the editors congratulate Dave and two other staffers, John Workman & Gordon Matthews for having gone pro where he wielded his pencils on Vampirella #11 (Prisoner in the Pool, written by another fan, Lone Star's very own Buddy Saunders) and Creepy #39, but apparently Dave still found a way to contribute the cover art to this special yearbook issue. The back cover is by Pat Boyette and the pin-up centerfold is by Jack Davis. Artists credited for work on this issue are Jeff Jones, John Romita, Sal Amendola, John Workman, Alan Hanley, John Onoda, Kevin Richert, & Mark Wheatley. Writers are Bill Cantey, Gordon Matthews, Jeff Anderson, & Mark Wheatley; 24 pages; b&w; 8 1/2-in. x 11-in.

Volume 2 - 2nd and later printings. "No Cure for the Paladin Blues!" By Rich Burlew. The Order of the Stick is back in action (and in color!) in this second volume compiling the popular fantasy gaming satire webcomic in convenient book format. Watch in amazement as The Order of the Stick, everyone's favorite band of hopelessly incompetent adventurers, leaves the dungeon behind (probably a good idea, considering they blew it up anyway) and ventures out into the great outdoors. Thrill to encounters with bandits, dragons, assassins, and perhaps the most terrifying of all - paladins! Watch in amazement as the Order of the Stick finds itself caught between the forces of Good and Less-Than-Good as their stupid little adventure turns into a stupid epic adventure to save their very world! Softcover, 8-in. x 10-in., full color. Cover price $29.95.
