When an overzealous camera man attempts to expose the Human Fly as a fraud in the middle of a highly dangerous stunt, an accident forces the Fly to rescue the man.

The Eve of Annihilation, script by Stan Lee, pencils by Herb Trimpe, inks by Dan Adkins; With the Hulk in an unbreakable plastic prison of the Leader's design, things start to look a little fishy as the Leader moves his Giant Humanoid onto the missile base and begins to take over; Betty hears the Leader soliloquizing to himself about his plans for world domination and she convinces Talbot to try and free the Hulk; Once he escapes, the Hulk has to battle through the Super Humanoid to try and stop the Leader from starting a nuclear war. 36 pgs.

At the Mercy of -- Maximus the Mad!, script by Stan Lee, art by Herb Trimpe; Bruce Banner is in the country of Costa Salvador when he runs across a town in the shadow of a giant robot whose inhabitants seem to be mind controlled; As he finds his own mind being assaulted, Bruce turns into the Hulk and then attacks a hilltop fortress that seems to be the source of the mental manipulation; Breaking into the fortress, Hulk finds that his foes are Maximus the Mad and his evil band of Inhumans and a battle ensues; The army also attacks the fortress and Maximus talks the Hulk into helping him repel the jade giant's oldest enemies. 36 pgs.

On the Side of...the Evil Inhumans!, script by Stan Lee (plot) and Roy Thomas, art by Herb Trimpe; The Hulk attacks the army on behalf of his Inhuman allies but after the battle is won, Maximus betrays the jade giant and tries to bring him down with a huge robot; The Hulk beats the Inhumans and destroys their fortress but Maximus escapes as the Hulk leaps away in disgust. 36 pgs.

Within the Swamp There Stirs...a Glob!, script by Roy Thomas, art by Herb Trimpe; Hulk is leaping over Florida when he is accidentally struck by a missile causing him to crash land in the swamp; Coming across an old U.S. government cabin, Hulk destroys some barrels of radioactive waste which creates a muck monster soon to be known as the Glob; The army is in the marsh hunting the Hulk when the Glob captures Betty, thinking she is the woman he loved back in the days when he was a human; The Hulk and the Glob battle but the muck monster ends up giving his life in helping the Hulk save Betty from anti-radioactive goop that Ross has poured into the swamp in order to kill both the Glob and the Hulk. 36 pgs.

The Leader uses a mental enhancing machine to throw all of Hulk's enemies at him on the same day hoping to give the Green Goliath a heart attack. The story continues in part in Avengers 88.
