"Batman versus Eclipso," script by Bob Haney, art by Win Mortimer; Falling for rich playgirl Marcia Monroe, Batman gets caught up in a plot to steal the priceless emerald cat jewel stolen by the CYCLOPS organization; Framed for the theft of the jewel, Batman is arrested and jailed, giving the CYCLOPS organization and their operative the Queen Bee the opportunity to capture Eclipso just as he emerges from his host Bruce Gordon; While Eclipso is used to make a heist, Batman manages to break out of prison and with the help of Bruce Gordon, defeats Eclipso (shunting the villain back into Gordon's body) and toppling CYCLOPS' plan; Although Batman manages to identify that Marcia Monroe was really Queen Bee, she manages to get away, however Batman vows that one day she will have to answer to her crimes. "Alias Negative Man," script by Bob Haney, pencils by Dick Giordano, inks by Sal Trapani; The Brotherhood of Evil captures Negative Man in a lead coffin; The other members of the Doom Patrol act quickly to place Larry's body in suspended animation, so that he doesn't die from prolonged separation from his other self; The Brotherhood then launches a campaign to cause civil unrest around the world using subliminal messages; The Doom Patrol contacts the Flash to substitute for their captured member; Flash disguises himself as Negative Man to make the Brotherhood think they failed to capture the real Doom Patrol member; Next the Doom Patrol destroys the satellite responsible for the subliminal messages, foiling the Brain's plot. 36 Pages, Full Color. "The Death of the Flash," script by Bob Haney, pencils by Carmine Infantino, inks by Charles Paris; A series of robberies committed by a group of super-fast thieves called the Speed Boys have been plaguing both Gotham and Central City, drawing the attention of both Batman and the Flash; Although struck with a fatal illness that gets worse every time he runs, the Flash teams up with the Caped Crusader to try and stop the super-fast crooks; However, just before the Flash can nab any of them his sickness gets the best of him and the crooks get away; During one robbery, Batman and the Flash manage to capture one of the Speed Boys and Batman takes his shoes to analyze while the Flash goes after the rest of the group; However, Flash finally succumbs to his illness and is taken by the Speed Boys who show off the Flash's supposedly dead body on TV.
