A super-hero parody, The Inferior Five got its start via three issues of Showcase (#s62, 63, and 65). Members include Merryman, The Blimp, Awkwardman, White Feather, and Dumb Bunny. This first issue of the regular series (which only lasted 12 issues) pokes fun at The Man from Uncle, The T.H.U.N.D.E.R. Agents, and The Green Hornet. The story is called "Five Characters in Search of a Plot." Includes a flashback sequence that shows the origin of Mr. Might, who is Awkwardman's father. Script by E. Nelson Bridwell, pencils by Mike Sekowsky, inks by Mike Esposito. Cover by Sekowsky and Esposito. Cover price $0.12.
