Charming monster Millie moves to the town of Midway and befriends everyone except the town boss, Greedly Gotrocks, who wants to use her for his own ends. Millie and her friends start a "hootenanny" band and perform on TV. Watching the band perform in Beatle wigs must be seen to be believed. The Ghost-Rider of the Sky takes little girl Gwen and Goodie the Ghost to Monsterville, Millie's hometown. There they see such creatures as the humming-hippo, half hummingbird and half hippopotamus.
