This series takes off with the super-charged battling adventures of a group of kids and their unique, high performance pet robots, the Medabots! Fueled with artificial intelligence and a specialized arsenal of unique weapons, Medabots compete against each other in exciting Robattles. In this first volume, Ikki dreams of becoming a champion Medafighter and competing in the World Robattle Tournament. But first, he has to get a Medabot. Ikki eventually does manage to get his own, but Metabee is a ten year old model and hardly listens to a thing Ikki says, but does help Ikki to foil a couple of thieves from robbing Ikki of his Rare Medal.
