This weather almanack, published by Charles Ellms in 1830 (for the upcoming year of 1831) provides tables on weather events which inform the reader when to expect high tide, more snow, or the full moon, etc. But as the subtitle suggests "With Whims, Scraps, and Oddities!", the almanack packs a variety of entertainment in addition to the weather services. It sort of captures the feel of what a copy of Reader's Digest captures today, with humorous stories, articles, and even some poetry. The almanack is mostly text, with a few single panel, non-sequential illustrations. Sewn thread binding with untrimmed (uneven) pages. Roughly 5" x 8", paper cover, b&w, 36 pages.
