    Stories by unknown. Art by Iger Shop. "The Wrong Kind of Love!" - Lonely Cindy puts her name and address in a calendar that she wraps and ships as part of her factory job. She gets a reply from Les, who invites her to travel to Texas to meet him. While on the train, Cindy opens (too late) his last letter, which tells her not to come. Stranded in town until the next day, she agrees to stay with sheriff Bill and his sister Mary. She is shocked to see Les on their ranch. Les is Bill's brother and wrote to Cindy as a joke. However, Bill and Cindy fall in love and she decides to stay. Plus: "I Had a Second Chance!" - Mary is unhappily married to the ill-tempered drunk Henry. Her only solace is listening to Rod's nighttime radio program. On her wedding anniversary, Mary asks Rod to broadcast a dedication, but the jealous Henry attacks the disc jockey. Henry is killed fleeing from the police. Rod courts widow Mary and promises to make her happy. Also in this issue: "Paradise" - Morie's father falls off a cliff to his death and she inherits his Hawaiian plantation...Frank tells her that he saw overseer Charles push her father over the cliff...Frank and Morie fall in love...Charles tries to murder Morie and blame her for her father's death, but Frank rescues her; "The Bride Who Wouldn't..." - Office worker Gloria is engaged to Fred but she really discovers she loves co-worker Joe...Fred is angry when he learns this but, after a punch in the face from Joe, realizes he was lucky Gloria changed her mind before their wedding; and 2-page text story "Passion's Bargain" by Thelma Beecher. 32 pages, full color. Her widowed mother suspects Bob may be a fortune-hunter, since Janice and her mother are financially well-off. Bob switches his attentions to Janice's mother, and proposes marriage. Mrs. Pearson explains she and Janice are broke, and Bob angrily departs. Janice learns her mother made up the story of their poverty to expose Bob's true motives. Plus: "Doubtful Kisses" with art by Iger Shop - Ed had proposed to Sally when she was 18 years old, even though he was 35. She fell in love instead with Howard, closer to her own age. Years later, they are happily married and have a daughter. Sally is invited to a dinner honoring Ed; he's now old and bald, though successful. Sally realizes she made the right choice. Also: "How Can I Love You?" with art by Iger Shop - Marion vows revenge on Andrew Morris, whose actions caused her father to go to prison on charges of embezzlement. She falls in love with Paul, Andrew's son and is conflicted. However, Andrew shows her a letter written by her father, taking full responsibility for his crimes. Marion and Paul will marry. And: "Her Man or Mine?" with art by Iger Shop - Military hero David returns to his home town and is reunited with his girlfriend Elaine. David was previously married to Rose, but thinks this was annulled. Learning David intends to run for mayor, Rose reappears and demands money for a divorce (saying she'd lied about the annulment). But David proves she's lying now, that they are no longer married. He warns Rose to get out and stay out of his life. Plus: 2-page text story "Stranger's Meeting" by Ruth Millay. 32 pages, full color. Cover price $0.10.
