The first true digital comic, this special, like a TV pilot, introduced the art and the story of Shatter a full six months before First launched the regular series. Artist Mike Saenz created the graphics for Shatter on a first-generation Apple Macintosh, with its clunky, squarish mouse, long before tablets, styli, or Photoshop. The results are quite effective for this Blade Runner-like tale of futuristic corporate crime, introducing Sadr Shatter Morales, hero of the series that followed. Script by Peter B. Gillis. Full color; 32 pages. Cover price $2.50. Cover price $1.75.
