Mr. Slicker and the Egg Robbers. Story by Floyd Gottfredson. Art by Earl Duvall and Floyd Gottfredson. One of the earliest Mickey Mouse comics, from pioneering comics publisher David McKay. Collects the Mickey Mouse daily comic strip from Sept. 23 to Oct. 28, 1930. The diabolical Mr. Slicker romances Minnie by convincing her he can save her family farm. Mickey is distraught at first, but eventually turns the tables on Slicker. Includes the infamous sequence where Mickey tries and comically fails to commit suicide, an unusual gag for a 1930s Disney comic strip. 10-in. x 10-in., 48 pages, B&W.
