Numbering continues from Captain Midnight (1942-1948 Fawcett) #67. Sweethearts was the first monthly romance title, and the fourth series overall, during the Golden Age's boom in romance comics. Patty is unreasonably jealous of all the beautiful models that photographer Bill gets to work with. Jean meets handsome Bob at the electrical plant where her father works, but she doesn't want to date a factory worker. Scheming Connie uses her beauty to work her way up the ladder at her office, but loses the love of Howard in the process.
